Radiant quartz heaters are one of the most efficient sources of radiant energy. Quartz heaters can deliver near and far infrared wavelengths, which are more effective than a single wave length, capable of generating full heat output capacity in 40-50 seconds and cool down in less than 15 seconds. They offer excellent life characteristics whether operated continuously or intermittently. For most efficient heating and longer operating life, quartz heating applications should be rated around 35 – 40 watts per SQ inch.

Quartz heating elements do not give off an objectionable glare because of a very low emission in the visible spectrum. Optimum design provides a clear red colour on the translucent quartz tube when operating at full voltage, providing an infrared wave length at energy peak of 2.5 to 3 microns. The wavelength is almost completely absorbed by the process, and considered best for most industrial applications.

HIGH EFFICIENCY: Infrared heaters create radiant energy to directly heat the product as opposed to a convention oven which is dependent on air circulation as the heat transfer medium. This results in more efficient energy usage and lower operating cost. By eliminating the air medium, radiant heating also reduces the losses associated with hot air ovens.

Shorter oven LENGTHS: As a result of the greater heating rates, most products can be heater much more rapidly than in a convection oven. Due to shorter product heating cycles using radiant heat, less oven length is required to do the job. This can result in AN oven length reduction of 30-50% as compared as compared to convection oven designs.
